How GPA is calculated
Your grade point averageis the credit-weighted mean of your grade points: multiply each course's grade points (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, …) by its credit hours, sum those, and divide by the total credits. A heavier course therefore moves your GPA more than a lighter one. This calculator uses the common US 4.0 scale and runs entirely in your browser.
